With my « Crochet Universe » project, I have a unique opportunity to crochet my Francrochet collegues and in September I had the chance to get to know Fanny Claisse and Evano Crochet!

It was a bit intimidating for me to tackle this month’s Francrochet designer… why? Because Fanny is an amigurumi designer just like me, and her dolls are just incredible!
Thus, I felt quite a bit of pressure when picking up my crochet!
But one deep breath later I got to work! All in all, it was quite easy to make tiny Fanny, especially since I had access to her adorable logo for inspiration!
I also had to make her lovely little glasses using my new black wire… and I was quite happy with the result.
All that was left to do was the hair… and even now I’m a bit miffed with myself for not working up the courage to get some synthetic hair on there to mirror Fanny’s amazing patterns.
Still, my nerves got the better of me and tiny Fanny for a shiny cotton head of hair.
C’est toujours particulier de constater à quel point les styles d’amigurumi peuvent varier d’une designer à l’autre…
It’s always amazes me to see all the different types and styles of amigurumi and how a concept can be completely different from one designer to the nexr…
Just by looking at Fanny’s and my designs, there is a huge difference in our styles! But what I think is really great is that even if I am also a designer, I can still see how magical Fanny’s crochet universe is.
Indeed, I still remember when her Victoria pattern came out and I was blown away by her amazing work! The hair, the style, the colors…
I’m a fan, can’t you tell lol!
Months into the Our crochet Universe project, I am happy to see how diverse and talented our creative community really is! I feel very lucky that all these amazing creators gave me a chance to discover their work through my crochet!
And thank you Fanny for participating with Evano Crochet!
