Cowl
Round 2) HDC around (60)
Rounds 3-7) *HDC through the third loop* around (60) change to 2 strands of MC after last round
Rounds 8-10) *HDC through the third loop* around (60) after the last round, drop one strand of MC and pick up one strand of CC
Round 11) *HDC through the third loop* around (60) change to 2 strands of MC
Rounds 12-14) *HDC through the third loop* around (60)
Finish off, weave in all ends.
FinishingThis step is optional and allows you to hide the color changes. You could also simply use large decorative buttons or simply ignore the small demarcations.
Using a simple strand of CC, surface slip stitch two straight line from the bottom to the top of the cowl up the side of the cowl to encase the color demarcations. Then, using 2 strands of MC, surface slip stitch three vertical stripes from the top to the bottom between the 2 CC lines. Weave in all ends!
*If you are careful weaving your ends, the cowl is completely reversible! You can also wear it folded for additional warmth!
