Abbreviations 
st(sts) – stitch(stitches)
ch – chain
sl – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
2sc – two single crochet in the same stitch (+1)
2sc-tog – single crochet two stitches together (-1)
HDC – half double crochet
2HDC – two half double crochet in the same stitch (+1)
DC – double crochet
2DC – two double crochet in the same stitch (+1)
CC – color of choice
Material
2.5 mm hook
Safety eyes (shown in 6 mm)

Yarn used: dk, sport or fingering weight cotton less than10g. for the body and ears, less than 5g. for the carrot and belly
and white for the belly

Gauge & instructions
Gauge isn’t important as long as you make sure to use the appropriate hook for your yarn so that the stuffing doesn’t show through the stitches. All parts are worked continuously so that you don’t have to join at the beginning of each round. Be careful to count the stitches as you go or use a marker.

Head and body
Round 1)
With CC, work 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Round 2) 2sc around (12)
Round 3) *2sc, sc* around (18)
Round 4) *2sc, sc in next 2* around (24)
Rounds 5-8) sc around (24 sts – 4 rounds)
Round 9) *2sc, sc in the next 11* twice (26)
Round 10) *2sc, sc in the next 12* twice (28)
Rounds 11-20) sc around (28 sts – 10 rounds) Insert safety eyes between rounds 5 and 6 leaving about 4 sts between them.
Round 21) *2sc-tog, sc in the next 2* around (21)
Round 22) *2sc tog, sc* around (14) Stuff firmly.
Round 23) 2sc-tog around until opening is closed. Finish off, weave in ends.

Belly (optional)
Round 1) With CC, work 6 sc in a magic ring and join to work in the round (6)
Round 2) 2HDC around (12)
Round 3) *2HDC, HDC* around (18)
Round 4) HDC in the next 8, 2HDC, 2HDC, HDC in the last 8 (20) Finish off leaving long tail for sewing onto the bunny.

Ears (Make 2)
Round 1) With CC, work 4 sc in a magic ring and join to work in the round (4)
Round 2) *2sc, sc* around (6)
Rounds 3-6) sc around (6 sts – 4 rounds) You can work more rounds if you want longer ears!
Finish off leaving long tail to sew the ears on the head.

Carrot (optional – could be a leaf if worked completely in green!)
Round 1) With orange work 6 sc in a magic ring and join to work in the round (6)
Round 2) 2sc, 2sc, 2DC, 2DC, 2sc, 2sc (12)
Stem) With green sl to join yarn in the next stitch, ch 3, turn, sl in the next 2, sl in the next stitch of the carrot.
Finish off leaving long tail for sewing onto the bunny!

Embroider face and you can add a pompom for the tail!
