Abbreviations st(sts) – stitch(stitches) sl – slip stitch sc – single crochet 2sc – 2 single crochet in the same stitch sctbl – single crochet through the back loop

Material 5 mm hook Orange yarn (worsted) – about 10g green yarn (worsted) – about 5g Yarn needle black felt

Gauge & instructions
Gauge isn’t important as long as you make sure to use the appropriate hook for your yarn so that the stuffing doesn’t show through the stitches. The piece is worked in the round with embellishments worked separately and sewn on.

Instructions

Pumpkin
Round 1) With orange yarn, work 6 sc in magic ring and join to work in the round (6)
Round 2) 2sc around (12)
Round 3) 2sc, sc around (18)
Round 4) 2sc, sc, sc around (24)
Round 5) sc around (24)
Round 6) sctbl around (24)
Rounds 7-14) sc around (24 stitches – 8 rounds) Finish off, weave in ends.

Handle
With green yarn, chain 12 and finish off.

Curly cue
Row 1) With green yarn, chain 10 and turn.
Row 2) Starting 2 stitches from hook, work 4 sc in each stitch and finish
off.

Assembly
Sew the handle and curly cue to the pumpkin, you can now use black felt to make some features for your pumpkin or embroider them with black yarn if you prefer! Fill with candies and other goodies.
