Since I started doing fan art projects, I’ve been repeatedly asked about making the patterns available for these characters.
The truth is I won’t… even if I know that I would probably sell a lot more patterns if I did. The only reason I even did the crochet fan art Ghibli book (French only for now) was because of the publishing house!
When I launched the Our Crochet Universe project for custom mini dolls, I had a lot of requests from crafters who wanted to adapt my Little menagerie pattern to make their own mini themselves.
And if there is one thing I just love, it’s when I see my clients adapt my patterns to create the doll of their dreams!
I also love helping out when people message me for help when adapting one of my patterns, but it can become difficult to give each person very specific help.
All this to say that I have been compiling my notes for quite a while to put together a pattern that would actually be a guide to help you create your own custom mini doll. Quite the project, but it’s finally near complete… and about 30 pages long!

Since it will be the pattern used in my custom doll workshop (French) at the « Festival de la p’tite laine » in Rivière-du-Loup on October 5th, I decided to make it fancy and print it out for the kits I am preparing for the event.
I got some thicker paper, so that the booklet would be more durable, and ink to print everything in color.
All 30 pages of it.
Let’s just say my stapler was not a fan of this exercise.
Which means I have to sew 10 of them in time for the Festival!
