Since they were very young, it has been very clear that whatever our eldest gets into, the youngest will soon want to do as well. This has been true for a lot of things and Gacha life is one of the latest trends taking over both their lives.
A few weeks ago, my youngest came to me and asked if I could make her a couple of mini dolls of her characters.
I knew I had to get to it as quick as possible lol!
I know, I know… this is a fan art project of my daughter’s original characters… but this? This is why I do what i do!
Being able to see her little eyes light up because her characters are « made real » through my crochet? It’s priceless.
First up was adorable little Choco Squirrel! It’s not that visible on the picture, but I used eyeshadow to add a little blush to her cheeks and the result, though not permanent, is adorable!
I can always reply it when it fades out.
Then I got to work on equally adorable Menthe Bunny! With her oversized bunny ears she’s just too cute for words!
Of course I forgot to take a picture of her adorable bunny pompom tail… but I’m sure you can picture it in your mind lol!
It was hard to manage taking the pictures while swatting away little hands, but somehow I managed.
I’m quite happy with the result though, I have to say that chibi characters are easy to translate to crochet!
But then, to my absolute horror, I realised I had forgotten to make tiny Choco’s rose.
Thankfully, it was easy to fix and Choco can now choose to hold her rose or set it aside!
In the end I have made a little girl very happy and I’m not sure I could ask for anything more!
