It’s been a while since I published anything… the pandemic, the kids, the dog… well, life mostly got in the way and I’m sure all of you readers understand what I mean! However, I’ve been sitting on the biggest news for several months because the most unbelievable thing happened to me… and it’s finally time to share the news with you!
In fall 2022, I got a message on Instagram… which I rarely look at because it’s mostly spam and scams. But this was not spam… and it was not a scam either! It was an editor contacting me about collaborating on a crochet book!

Wondering what the news is, what that crochet book was about???
Through all of the amazing crochet work shared on social media, this editor saw my crochet fan art dolls and decided to contact me about putting together a Studio Ghibli crochet book!
I litterally fell off my chair and I was very lucky that Josephine was so patient with me because I had ALL the questions!
After talking for a while, the project was a go… and yes it means I made all those adorable plushies and couldn’t share them with the world until today!
It was very hard!
I also put all of this together in record time… which made it all the more difficult not to share all of them!
But the wait is finally over!
In this book, there are ten different beginner level crochet patterns and with them you will be able to make adorable amigurumi inspired by the works of Studio Ghibli.

These patterns are easy and rely on shape and colors to allow you to make amigurumi that will ressemble characters from the Ghibli universes… with a La rose du rang twist!
With these pattern, I did not aim to create perfect copies of the characters, but to create crochet versions in my own crochet style.
The book includes detailes instructions and pictures to make the activity as fun as possible!

Now that this project is done, I have to admit it was one of the more intense of my life! After years of publishing my patterns and having all of the creative control, working with a whole team of people was very different!
As of right now, we are hoping the book gets picked up for translation, I will of course post news about this as soon as I have some!
