One year later…

This morning I wanted to come give a little update… it’s safe to say I am having a very difficult time finding any semblance of rythm to keep La rose du rang active, now that I am back in the work force full time. Still, I really don’t think it’s time to close up shop yet…
I know it’s normal that things changed since 2025, mostly because my actual free time is rare now (well, more than it was). It’s almost embarassing when I speak of my next pattern because I’ve been at it for so long and I’m used to publishing much quicker…
Still, I am still a creative person at heart and I do not want to lose this piece of myself.
This is mostly what pushed me to register for the Festival de la P’tite laine this fall, even if I have so little time for La rose du rang. I was not ready to let go. Not yet.
I’ll have books, booklets, kits and a lot of adorable amigurumi looking for homes… it might be your last chance to get them, who knows where I will be in 2027!

I have learned and discovered many things in the last year… in June 2025, I had only been at my new job for a few days! My first one in a decade and a half and the context was frankly far from ideal…
Factor in the pressure that I could absolutely not fail…
A year later, I’m still there and doing well. It’s a fact that we rarely see how much hard work we put into something until time has passed and we’re looking back…
If I could tell 2025 Karine how proud I am of her… sure, we barely had any creative time, but the things we accomplished… she would not have seen it then, but I see it now.
Maybe next year I will be just as proud of 2026 Karine…
For now, I’m not really impressed by the time it’s taking me to put together what will be my only new pattern since 2025… But the pattern itself? That, I am proud of!

The pattern will be available soon with the first two E-books!
