Creative break – Shadow Hunters
** Cliquez ici pour la version française **
Shadow hunters is a series I watched here and there a while back. I can’t say I adored the whole thing, but I thought it was fun and provided me with simple entertainment as I worked my needles or hooks.
A few months back my very good friend started watching it and it made me want to turn it into a fan art project. Because we share favorite characters, I decided to make her a tiny Magnus Bane with his very own tiny Alec Lightwood. Plus it gave me an excuse to make more custom safety eyes.
Eventhough they are not going to be visible once his suit jacket is on, I couldn’t resist giving tiny Alec suspenders. You guys can google Magnus and Alec’s wedding suits, I’m sure you can find the picture I used for inspiration!
Then I went through my stash to find the perfect colors for tiny Magnus.
In the end, I’m very happy with the results. I have to say though that I find myself wanting to try using pastels to add details to these characters… Magnus just isn’t the same without his facial hair…
However, I’m very happy with how the hair turned out given that I had no access to any sort of magical power to give them the proper height!
So, while the series was far from an unforgettable master piece, it was fun companionship for a while… Now, what should we be watching for a next fan art?
