It’s already time to say goodbye to 2023! Since the whole covid pandemic started, my relationship with time has been quite distorted and I feel like 2023 just flew by!
2023 was actually quite a busy year for La rose du rang!
It was the year where I put together my biggest project yet; an actual fan art crochet book dedicated to Studio Ghibli!
While it’s only available in French for now, I’m hoping it’s picked up for translation in the future… so keep an eye out!
There are also seven original patterns that were published in 2023, most of which have a free version available!

On the fan art front, I’ve added six new characters to my collection, from two different universes!

Another 2023 highlight was the Festival de la P’tite Laine, which we’ve attended every year since 2015.
This year the Ghibli crochet book was front and center, as well as several amigurumi looking for homes.

Let’s just say I’m quite convinced that chenille yarn just isn’t for me…
2023 also saw two new entries of #OurCrochetUniverse, one with the whole team from La Vie Laine and the second with the incredible Masculin Singulier.
Another thing about #OurCrochetUniverse is that I’ve decided to offer a new size for the custom dolls! About 5 inches tall instead of 3 inches tall, this size will be idea for those who want a bit more details… or just want a bigger doll!
Why have I decided to add this option? I was very inspired by the mushroom fairy and the fox sprite dolls!
I think we’ll be seeing a lot more dolls like these in 2024 because I want to put together a whole new collection!
