Right before Christmas, I put together a little fan art project for a friend and now that we’re getting back to a somewhat regular schedule I can finally share it!
At first we were looking to make « The Hero », but we quickly changed our minds and decided to go with the classic vilain : The Dragonlord.
It was also a great occasion to work on a character with unconventional colors!
And another nice excuse to customize the perfect pair of safety eyes.
I have to say, after taking this first picture, I was VERY happy with this very expressive little guy!

Never have I ever seen my satisfaction with how a project is turning up disappear lol! Once I changed the angle and kept on working, the perfect expression quickly morphed into… something else.
Let’s just say he mostly looked confused… or concussed… but I was trying to trust the process.
But as much as I wanted to like him, I was really annoyed with his ridiculous eyes.
Thankfully it was an easy fix; a bit of black paint and the poor little guy no longer looked… altered. I also decided to give myself a break and I used a pipe cleaner to make his wizard staff.
To keep our Dragonlord company, and because it’s pretty much THE classic enemi of the series, I decided to crochet a mini « slime »… and this time the « confused and concussed » look was actually perfect!
Even if I made this in 2024, I decided to consider it as my first 2025 fan art project… you know, because I didn’t have time to post about it before…
I am now ready for my next fan art project… which will probably be a much larger one! Care to guess which universe I’ll be exploring next?
