If you’ve been following me for a while, this will not come as a surprise… yes, I’m going to talk about pressure and creative burnout. Again.
Sometimes I think I might talk about it a bit too much and that I am *this* close to be told to put a cork in it…
But then again, this is my tiny corner of the Internet so I also tell myself I can do whatever I want with it!

Ahhh the duality of wanting to be real with all of you, but still want it to somewhat look like less of a mess than it really is… but that’ll be a subject for another day!
Today I want to talk about summer… but mostly abour summer when one is an adult… and a small business owner.
Yuk, I know. We’ve mostly been conditionned since childhood to impatiently wait for summer because summer means vacation! As adults, well… summers tend to be a bit less relaxing. Between yardwork, kids and actual work that keeps on going as if it wasn’t THE SUMMER! unless we’re part of the lucky ones who have a few days or weeks off work… You get it don’t you?
When you’re a business owner, especially with a tiny tiny micro business in which you wear all of the hats… you’re never really getting a day off.

I know that when I give myself permission to put aside « La rose du rang » and focus of anything else, I feel like a failure, but when I don’t take care of everything that isn’t « La rose du rang »… I feel guilty.
Feeling guilty and like a failure… two GREAT feelings that are VERY conductive to being creative!! At the same time, taking some time off to breathe is actually essential for self care AND to make sure to preserve our creativity.
So I thought it would be a good idea to make a list of tiny projects to help you take a creative break during your busy summer! Yes, you have to take care of everything and everyone. Yes, if you own your business, you need to take care of it. Yes, yes… yes… but also no. You are important too and you cannot pour from an empty cup.
This summer, make sure to take a few moments to yourself every day and if these adorable projects inspire you to take a breather with your crochet, wouldn’t that be awesome?
This summer, I take some time for myself!
